📋 What Can You Post?
YardShoppers supports three types of listings. Choose the one that fits what you're selling when you start a new post.
A sale at your home or property with multiple items. Set a date range, describe what you're selling, upload photos, and let buyers find you. Appears in the Yard Sales tab.
A full-home liquidation sale. Same posting flow as a yard sale but appears in the Estate Sales tab so the right buyers find you.
Selling one specific item — furniture, electronics, clothing, tools, etc. Appears in the Local Listings marketplace tab with its own pricing, condition, and shipping options.
🚀 How to Post a Listing — Step by Step
Head to /post (or tap the green Post a Sale button in the nav) and follow these steps. The whole thing takes under 2 minutes.
Select Yard Sale, Estate Sale, or Single Item. This determines which tab your listing appears in and which fields you'll fill out.
Give your sale a descriptive title and write a description. The more detail, the better — mention standout items, brands, or anything special buyers should know.
Tag your listing with up to all 13 categories that apply: Furniture, Electronics, Clothing, Toys & Games, Tools, Kitchen, Sports, Books, Antiques, Garden, Baby & Kids, Vehicles, Free Stuff. Categories make your listing appear in filtered searches.
Add your street address, city, state, and ZIP code. Your exact street address is used for map pins and directions. YardShoppers automatically geocodes it for the route planner.
Add the start and end dates for your sale, and optionally set start/end times. Dates are optional but help buyers plan — listings with dates appear in date-filtered searches and on the Route Planner map.
Drag and drop or tap to upload up to 10 photos. Great photos drive significantly more interest — show your best items, the sale setup, or any standout pieces. Stored securely in the cloud.
Have a promo code? Enter it here. Valid codes can give you a discounted or free boost on your listing.
Hit Submit and your listing goes live immediately. A success modal appears giving you the option to boost your listing right away for more visibility — or skip and boost later.

Once your listing is live, here's what happens automatically:
Your listing immediately appears as a pin on the Route Planner map so buyers can add it to their shopping route.
Any buyer who has set up listing alerts for your area and categories gets notified about your new listing — instantly, daily, or weekly depending on their alert settings.
Your listing is live and searchable in the homepage tabs and browse page the moment you submit.
Your listing appears in your Dashboard → My Listings tab where you can view it, boost it, or delete it anytime.
Every listing gets its own URL at yardshoppers.com/listing/[id] — share it on social media, text it to friends, or post it anywhere.

💳 How to Boost a Listing
You can boost a listing at three different points — whatever is most convenient for you.
When your listing is submitted, a success modal appears with all four boost tiers. You can boost immediately with one click and go straight to Stripe checkout.
Open any of your own listings at yardshoppers.com/listing/[id]. As the owner, you'll see a 'Boost Listing' button — tap it to open the boost modal anytime.
Go to Dashboard → My Listings. Every listing card has a Boost button right on it — one tap opens the boost modal so you can upgrade any listing without leaving your dashboard.
Promo Codes
Have a promo code? You can enter it at two points: during the posting flow in the optional Promo Code field, or inside the Boost Modal by clicking "Have a promo code?" and entering your code. Valid codes instantly apply a discount — or unlock a completely free boost. Codes are single-use and validated in real time.
⚙️ Managing Your Listings
Everything about your listings is managed from your Dashboard.
Dashboard → My Listings shows every listing you've ever posted with its status, view count, and current boost tier.
Tap the Boost button on any listing card in My Listings to upgrade its visibility at any time.
Done with your sale? Delete your listing from the My Listings tab. It's removed immediately from all search results.
Every listing detail page has a Share button — use it to share to social media, messaging apps, or copy the link.
